For NPR, I reported on Times Square's first public fountain. Fashioned by Pamela Council, A Fountain for Survivors is 18 feet tall and encased with some 400,000 colorful acrylic fingernails. It’s a monumental public artwork. Listen below and see some more pictures of the work.
